His experiences laid the foundation for his passion for helping others.
After completing his BSc, Ryan worked in various roles, providing in home care for youth with FASD and assisting in a frailty reduction study with Horizon Health Network. These experiences deepened his commitment to supporting individuals through challenging times, further reinforcing his desire to pursue a career in counselling.
Ryan then graduated with a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University and completed his internship at the Calgary Counselling Centre. During this
time, he developed his skills in treating clients with a variety of concerns, using evidence- based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention Therapy (ERP), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and the Comprehensive Model (ComB) for Body-Focused Repetitive Behaviors (BFRBs). He believes in the power of these therapeutic approaches to help clients gain insight, overcome challenges, and develop healthier coping strategies.
